Step 1

Builder and artist, Andy Sikora recently reclaimed a beautiful copper counter top that was no longer useable in the new kitchen remodel completed by Sikora Creations. The countertop was cut down into a buffet table top.

Steel braces were fabricated in our workshop.

Step 3

We selected bamboo for the legs. The bamboo legs were burned to add character and a toffee glaze applied. Joints were then wrapped in leather lacing.

Legs were pinned together with hand forged nails and braces.

Step 5

Five coats of lacquer were then applied on the acit etched top with ash trim.

The Finished product - usable art!

Custom Top is acid etched copper wrapped in ash trim. Custom legs are bamboo with a hand rubbed wax applied and hand forged braces and pins
